This board is my attempt to extend the Rivers of Catan to a 5-6 player version that incorporates the Seafarers of Catan as well. Soon after I designed this layout, the Traders & Barbarians expansion was released. This changed the rules somewhat, added bridges and increased the number of river hexes. I have updated this board to use both the old and new tiles.

Other than the new river hexes, there is nothing special about this board. We play the normal Seafarers rule that the first player to connect the islands gets 2VP, while the remaining players can get 1 VP if they connect the islands. The islets at the top and bottom of the board do not count as islands, they are merely stepping stones.
